About the Founder
Allison Binns, founder and principal of Peregrine Strategy, is an established expert in sustainability and sustainable investing, with 15+ years' experience in corporate sustainability, sell-side research and buy-side investment roles.
In addition to her work with clients at Peregrine Strategy, Allison is a principal at Danu Venture Group, an early-stage venture capital firm. She co-chairs the Sustainability Advisory Board for Persefoni AI, a carbon accounting platform, and serves as an advisor to Notava, an ESG data platform for private markets.
Previously, Allison was a partner and the Global Head of ESG & Sustainable Investing Strategy for Angelo Gordon, a private credit and real estate-focused alternative asset manager. Prior to joining Angelo Gordon, Allison was Head of ESG Research for Fixed Income at Morgan Stanley and led sell-side corporate governance research across equities and fixed income. Previously, Allison worked for Chevron where she held senior advisory roles in sustainability and geopolitical risk.
A passionate supporter of the arts and education, Allison serves on the boards of The Morgan Library & Museum, the FDR Four Freedoms Park Conservancy, and the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship. She is president emeritus of the Poetry Society of America.
Allison received her A.B. in Sociology and Latin American Studies from Princeton University and holds an A.M. and PhD. in Sociology from Harvard University.
